It is now June
2009 and I do apologise for not being able to update untill now. I
have been fighting bad health since 2005. Surviving 7 strokes and
breast cancer. At present I am now fighting my 8th stroke. For
me it has been very hard but I have still fought on. I feel I am getting
there. My recovery is very slow but I do hope to in time add more
to this webside. I still hope you will keep visiting my website and
be patient with me. My greeting cards website I had to close due to
my health. I DO HOPE I CAN OPEN ANOTHER WEBSITE IN TIME.

My
first poem was written to my best friend. Mike and Janice met on the
Internet. They talked and they do live near each other. Their friendship
as blossomed into true friendship. They do meet now and then and Mike
wrote this poem to Janice. Mike gave me permission to share it with
you. It is so nice when you find a friend and become a true friend
to one another. I hope Mike don't mind but I have put a title to his
poem.

TO
MY FRIEND JANICE
|
I
don't know how to thank you
For the way you've been with me,
Giving me your time selflessly
Helping me break free.
Helping with the burden
Of a broken hearted mind,
Even with your share of darkness
That you've almost left behind.

Why you came, I do not know
What brought you to this place,
You went and thought
"This guy has got an interesting face".

Behind the simleing face you saw
There was a troubled man,
"He needs some help,
some TLC and I'll do what I can".

You took a chance and called me up
A fateful call it seems,
The two of us were reaching out
Into each others dreams.

And now we're friends, I can tell you
You mean so much to me,
As I do you, as you have said,
We're both the same you see.

So when you're down and so fed up
And don't know what to do,
Just call me up, and we can talk
I'm ALWAYS here for you.

FRIENDSHIPS.
| |
What
do we want from the friendships we make?
Someone to care, to be genuine, not fake.
To listen when need be, to help if they can.
To be trusting, sincere, to hold out their hand.
This kind of commitment is hard to find.
But when it happens they are one of a kind.

You
look to your friend for support every day.
Your troubles are shared as you go on your way.
You give and you take each others views.
Enjoy a good gossip, but not unkind news.
There’s time to be happy and times to be sad.
Friendships grow strong, the best you have had.

Then
in our hearts another friend will appear.
His love, compassion, truth is very clear.
He is our Father in Heaven, our best friend.
And His friendship will be for always till the end.
Friendships are made, friendships are broken.
A true friend of God has His love well spoken.

It’s
up to you to be a good friend.
To care and share, be there to mend.
Offer your hand in friendship to others in need.
Such rewards are yours from doing good deeds.
Wonderful moments, friends plenty or few.
Only you can make your friendships true.

INTO EACH LIFE
Into each life a little rain will fall,
but if you have a friend, you can bear it all,
for a friend is an umbrella,to hold above your head,
and help you think about, the sunny days instead.

Into each life a little sun will shine,
but if you have a friend,it will always be fine,
for if you can share the sunny times,
with a friend that will be ground,
as you talk and walk together, securely hand in hand.

Into each life a little wind will blow,
but if you have a friend,to whom you can go,
your friend can help to guide you,can help you make the choice,
by offering their view, and adding a new voice.

Into each life like leaves things will fall,
but if you have a friend, you know that you can call,
they'll always steer you clearly, when their counsel's sought,
for a friend is like a safety net,in which you will be caught.

Into each life a friend will come to you,
for if you have a friend, you'll know what to do,
when a problem shows itself, for a friend is there to share,
to offer an opinion, and show that someone cares.

Into my life my friend came as you,
for I know I have a friend,to share experiences old or new,
in the rain, sun, wind, or fall, who is loving, loyal, and most true,
that sees my best qualities, and knows I am their friend too.

THANKS

Hello
God,
I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.
You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.
Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.
I thank you God for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.
Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.
So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!

Dear
Jesus,
| |
I
know you're watching over me
And I'm feeling truly blest.
For, no matter what I pray for,
You always know what's best!

I
have this circle of e-mail friends,
Who mean the world to me.
Some days, I send and send.
At other times, I let them be.

I
am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close.
So, this little poem, I dedicate to them;
Because, to me, they are the most!

When
I see each name download
And view the message they've sent,
I know they've thought of me, that day,
And well wishes were their intent.

So, to you, my friends, I would like to
say,
"Thank you for being a part
Of all my daily contacts."
This comes right from my heart.
"May God bless you," is my prayer, today.
I'm honored to call you 'friend'.
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
Until we write, again.
Amen

GO
THE DISTANCE
A friendship must go the distance.
It must have persistance.
This
kind of friend will treat you right,
and won't find joy in a fight.
This
friend won't walk away.
When you need help, this friend will stay.
A
friend will love you for who you are.
Will look at you as if you're a star.
A friend won't talk behind your back,
and will be your defense in an attack.
I
know that you're this kind of friend
who will go the distance until the end.

If
nobody smiled and nobody cared
and nobody helped us along.
If every moment looked after itself
and good things always went to the strong;

If
nobody cared just a little about you
and nobody cared about me,
and we stood alone, in the battle of life,
What a sad old world this would be.

Life
is sweet, 'cuz of friends we have made
and the things that we choose to share.
We want to live on, enjoying ourselves,
and enjoying the people who care.

It
is doing and giving for somebody else
on which all of life's beauty depends.
The joy of this world,
when you've summed it all up,
is found in the making of friends.

I
do hope no one is offended with the next poem. We all need a laugh
at times and it does help uplift even a few moments.

ME MUDDER
When
me prayers were poorly said,
Who tucked me in me widdle bed,
And spanked me till me arse was red,
Me
Mudder!
Who
took me from me cozy cot
And put me on the ice cold pot,
And made me pee when I could not,
Me
Mudder!
And when the morning light would come
And in me crib me dribbled some,
Who wiped me tiny widdle bum,
Me
Mudder!
Who
would me hair so neatly part
And hug me gently to her heart,
Who sometimes squeezed me till me fart,
Me
Mudder!
Who
looked at me with eyebrows knit
And nearly have a king-size fit,
When in me Sunday pants me s*** ,
Me
Mudder!
When
at night her bed did squeak
Me raised me head to have a peek,
Who yelled at me to go to sleep,
Me Father!

I say this prayer every night and I do feel it a wonderful way to
be near our God.
MY
PRAYER
|
Lord,
with earnest heart I pray
Guide me, hold me, one more day.
With your loving hand in mine
Make me whole and pure and fine.
Along the road I walk today
Guide my path and show the way.
Cleanse me now and make me whole.
Whole in body, mind and soul.
Always, God, I pray to Thee
Help me, Lord and walk with me.
The path is long, the road is steep
I stumble, fall and often weep.
Help me rise and walk today
With hope and love, come what may.
In all I do and all I see
I feel your presence there with me.
Lord, my God, please guide my way
Walk beside me one more day.
