Ali
was proud to be an American and wrote this poem to pay tribute to 9/11/2001.
I too send my condolences to America. To everyone who lost a loved one,
God Bless You and I do sincerely wish from my heart that time will heal.
Sept
11th 2001.
In
New York we awoke to a glorious day,
The sun shining brightly, billowy clouds in the sky.
The sort of day that made one feel happy to be alive.
The Unthinkable Happened!
That Night We Went To Bed Weeping...

It
started out as a sunny bright day
Four planes arrived attacking us from far away
First two planes crashed into both our two towers
Destroying them when they took away our powers
Reporters
stated the first one was an accident
The TV soon brought news from our President
The third one destoyed the Pentigon in Washington DC
Where were our protectors to watch over you and me
Soon
our nation united in shock and prayer
Did you bow your head and feel God was there
I truly believe He wept as He took many home
Leaving their families to weep and wonder all alone
Now
I wonder if we're protected; remembering those we met
Five years ago is a day we'll never forget
Many will remember that day in deep sorrow
I pray our nation will have a better tomorrow
