WHAT IS LIFE There are many thoughts and interpretations, when this question is put to people, their understanding of what life is all about. As one poet was inspired to write in one of his poems - "What is life but full of CARE, we have no time to stand and stare, like sheep or cows" - that was a thought that came to him. As we may well know, that thoughts are living things. What is life, but an existence on this Earthly plane for all God's creations, and there span of life or existence will vary on what they are - many factors will determine their life span. Indeed we humans or "Homo Sapiens," created by our Heavenly Father, have been given life, as true Spirits we are born (or incarnated) and given "human bodies," as vehicles to enable our Spirits to exist and travel on our journey through life on this Earthly plane. On our journey through life, we learn how to love those close to us, our families and friends. We learn many lessons, such as how to care, to help, to provide, to worship and adore, how to survive, how to control our desires, how to respect our fellow man or woman, but the greatest lesson of all, we learn is to love our Heavenly Father and His son Lord Jesus. That my friends, is what life is all about. Many lessons to learn, accompanied by many tears of joy and happiness, also many tears of sadness and sorrow, many crosses to bare - many crossroads that we come to in our journey through life, at each one decisions have to be made, which way shall we go, are they correct or wrong decisions. Each experience or lesson we learn help us in our Spiritual growth. As we journey through life, we go through many seasons, and for each one of us, there is a Sunset - when that comes about, Age is of no consequence, because when it is our time to return to our true Spiritual home, the Summerland, which is our true abode, we will discard our Earthly shell, it is so called "Death," because it no longer functions, the Spirit is now free to take that beautiful journey home to the Summerland - to reiterate there is no Death, my friends, because life is truly Eternal. Our loved ones on the earth plane will shed tears of sorrow because they will miss our "physical presence." However, our loved ones, already in the Summerland, will shed tears of joy, rejoicing that we have safely come home, to their beautiful "Land of Light." It is comforting for us, as Spiritualists, to have the knowledge, conviction and Evidential proof that life is truly Eternal - no Death - that we go to another sphere or realm to learn more lessons for our Spiritual Progression - that, my friends, is what life is all about.
