PLAY THAT SONG

Drop a few coins in the jukebox please
I'd like to hear my favorite song
I promise I won't shed a tear
I'll try so hard to be strong.

That melody means so much to me
It reminds me of happier times
I promise I'll sit here quietly
It will only cost you a couple of dimes.

If you see a tear rolling down my cheek
Please don't be too concerned
This happens every time I hear our song
You would think that I would learn.

If you listen to the words carefully
It will bring a tear to your eye
You'll then know the reason I feel this way
And you'll stop asking me why.

So drop a couple of dimes in the slot
Sit down and keep me company
Maybe you can help me to forget
Maybe you can set me free.
