MY CHOICE

I hear a voice as the tide rushes in
It says "Come join me.
We can frolic around in the ocean depth
In my world of beauty, the sea.

I promise to show you so many things
The ocean of the deepest blue
The swirling eddies and coral reefs
Different things with so many hues.

This world of mine is resplendant
With beauty all around
Just hold your breath and walk on in
I promise you, I will astound!"

This voice continues to beckon me
As I turn and walk away
But I choose to see the beauty here
Among the living where I choose to stay.
