MEDITATION

Meditation is one of the most relaxing ways to cleanse the Mind, Body and Soul.  Meditation can calm you and relieve some of your pain.  You can also have many journeys through your meditation and when completely attune to meditation you can also meet your Spirit friends and family.  Before we go into meditation I want to explain to you about,
A CLOAK OF PROTECTION.

THE CLOAK OF PROTECTION.

This is a prayer to God to protect you.  For you must always remember where there is good, there is also evil.  Before meditation I always ask for a cloak of protection to keep the evil Spirits away.  It is a simple request and believe me it works.  Just before meditation,  just say a little prayer to your Father God and ask Him please to place A Cloak Of Protection around you and keep you safe from any evil around you.  After your meditation remember to say thank you to your Father God.  I also use the cloak of protection when someone close to me steps out for an evening or takes a journey.  I know God listens as a member of my family felt someone close by her although she saw nothing and she felt no fear walking in the dark.  She did not know I had put a cloak of protection over her.  When she returned home safe, I said thank you to God. 

If this is the first time you have thought to meditate, I would advise you to start by joining a group. In a group you can learn to understand meditation and how to relax and breathe properly. Groups can be in a church or in a home with a Medium present. In a group it is much nicer to place the chairs in a circle. Place a lit candle in the centre of the circle,on the floor and if you wish to dim the main lights, this is up to you. Learn to relax sitting upright on the chair and learn how to do your breathing exercises. Take a deep breath and hold it to the count of three to seven and then let the air out. Repeat about two to three more times. Another point to remember is to wear loose clothing, as you need to feel comfortable and not to be disturbed in meditation. When the group is ready to start the meditation, make sure you are sitting comfortable and your feet are firmly on the floor. Place your hands on your lap, putting one hand on each leg. You may either lay your hands face down on your lap or faced upwards, whichever way you feel is for you. Now everyone is comfortable and relaxed, you will now close your eyes. Usually the Medium will say a prayer and ask our Father God for the Cloak of Protection to be placed around the group, but in some groups the members take it in turn to say prayers. After prayers the Medium will then begin and take you on a journey, or when more experienced will let you chose your own journey. ( If you have not done this before, just try to follow using your own imagination as you listen to the Medium's voice.) When the group is more experienced the Medium will ask you to open up your chakras to receive Spirit and after meditation you must then close the chakras. ( you can learn about the chakras before you read about meditation. ) The Medium is now talking to you, taking you on a journey to a beach or maybe a country scene. Concentrate and follow her voice until the Medium brings you to the silent part. The Medium will tell you it is time to rest and either meet your Spirit friends or just to sit in the quiet. Depending on how new you are to the group, she will stay in the quiet for about five minutes until you are use to the quiet and then the time will be extended up to thirty minutes. This quiet time is for you to either feel calm and relaxed, or if more experienced to meet those in the Spirit World. If you are in need of healing, this quiet time will benefit you, as you will receive healing. When the quiet time is finished, the Medium will recall you back and guide you with her voice to the place you started. Then when you are ready to open your eyes and rejoin the circle, your journey has ended. You should now feel relaxed and calm and a beautiful feeling of love and peace around you. Most groups then talked about who they met and what they saw on their journey. Once you have become attuned to meditation you will find that stress, pain and worries will be much easier to cope with. The Medium closes the group with a prayer and thanks to our Father God for His protection and to also keep us safe as we journey to our homes.


( A little story which I find so wonderful is to do with a member of our class. After his wife died, and we went into meditation, he would never follow the Medium, but head straight to a little church and would stay there with his wife until we were called back. That was his peace and such a lovely person to know.)

If you want to meditate on your own in your own home, first pick a nice airy room where you will not be disturbed. I use my own bedroom and I try not to enter that room for at least three hours before meditation. I like to use meditation cassettes to either guide me on a journey or to help to give me healing. You can easily make your own tape or you can buy meditation tapes and soft music in the background is very calming. I have written one journey for you to make a tape and I hope you will receive a very peaceful and calming journey.


( Before starting your meditation, it is wise to tell other people and turn off the television and telephone and any other distraction. This is a time you will not want to be disturbed.)


Sit upright on a chair, exactly like you did in a group except it is just you. Remember your breathing exercise. If you do use a candle, be careful where you put it as remember your space is now smaller. With your feet firmly on the ground and your hands resting on your lap, you will now close your eyes and feel relaxed. Say a prayer and ask God for a Cloak of Protection around you. ( This is important, for you must remember where there are good Spirits, there are always evil Spirits.) Now switch on your tape if you are using one. Follow the voice on the tape until you come to the part where you are asked to go into the quiet. The place will be quiet for you to relax and still with your eyes closed, learn to imagine the beautiful place your mind is seeing. With experience you may begin to see Spirits or loved ones and never be afraid, they cannot harm you. The voice on the tape will then call you and guide you back to where you started. You should feel relaxed and at peace and when you feel ready, open your eyes to the calmness around you. Remember to say a little prayer and thank God for his protection.
I do love to meditate as being disabled, I receive plenty of Spiritual Healing. I have been on some beautiful journeys, floated in the air, and met my Spirit Guides as well as my family. I do have my own favourite tape where music plays in the background and I am guided on a Healing journey.

I have written a meditation for you to tape for yourself or a group of friends. When you decide to make this tape, you will need to pick someone with a pleasant and calming voice. They must read slowly so that you have plenty of time to follow. When they come to the silent time, DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE TAPE. ( Before starting this tape you must chose a time to stay in the quiet. I find when new to this, it is best to start at five minutes and then when you feel more experienced, put the time up to suit how long you wish to remain in the quiet.) If you are using background music, leave this on as it can be soothing in the quiet. While this quiet time is on, you must be very quiet. No talking or any noise just silence, remembering to watch the time you have chosen to stay quiet. When the time has relapsed the person who is talking on the tape will commence with reading the second part until finished. When the tape is made and you are happy with the meditation, you are now ready to take your meditation alone or with friends. I do hope you find great comfort and peace from meditation as I have.

( To explain before you tape the meditation. If you are asked to leave your seat and go to the door. This do not mean for you to leave your seat and go to the door. You stay sitting on the chair and with your eyes closed, your mind takes the journey. You imagine you have left your seat and gone to the door. From now on it is your mind you use and if this is hard, use your imagination. With experience you will progress.)

VISIT TO A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

BEGIN HERE

While we are in the quiet we will now begin our meditation.  Sit comfortable and relax in your chair.  Clear your mind of all the problems and worries around you.  You must now push all unwanted thoughts far away from you.  This is your moment, your special time.  Feel the peace, warmth and love within you.  Feel the energy of love that Our Dear Lord is giving to you at this moment.

I would like you now to leave your seat and slowly move to the door.  Open the door and quietly close the door behind you.  Now look in front of you.  You are in front of a white iron gate.  The gate as a beautiful colour pattern on it and above the gate is an arch with beautiful flowers arranged in beautiful colours.  Open the gate and enter into the garden before you.  Close the gate and slowly walk forward into this beautiful garden.  As you walk, look how green the grass is beneath your feet.  The sky is so blue and the suns rays give you warmth.  Look around the garden, it has beds of every flower you can imagine.  The colours are rich and beautiful and you can smell the lovely perfume from the flowers.  Butterflies and Bees are busy collecting pollom and you can hear the birds sweetly singing as they fly around you.  Look how the garden is so neatly  arranged.  Everything tidy and in its place.
Now walk to the middle of the garden.  There you have a place especially for you and I would like you now to sit yourself down and make yourself comfortable and feel the grass beneath you like a soft beautiful carpet.  Look around you and feel the peace, you are in the Garden of Life.  Your life.

You may like to invite your friends and family in the Spirit World to sit with you.  Welcome them.  I would like you to talk to them about the peace and love your life needs right now.  Open your arms to welcome and embrace what beautiful gifts they can bring to you to find the love and peace within and feel how close our Dear Father God is also with you in this beautiful garden, for He will be listening to what you will be saying and feeling.  There is only peace and tranquility in this garden.  I will now leave you to that peace and tranquility, to the beauty around you and to talk to your Spirit visitors

(COMPLETE SILENCE NOW.)

This is the time for silence.   Stay in the quiet for the time you have chosen. Remember to leave the tape running.  You could start with 5 minutes and build up to 30 minutes over a time. You may not see anyone or anything, do not worry.  It takes time and as long as you feel peace that is great. Once the time you chosen is finish the speaker begins to read part two, which is next.

BEGIN SECOND PART HERE.

It is now time to say thank you to your Spirit visitors for their help and understanding and for listening to you.  Say also a little prayer to thank your Dear Father God for standing by and showing you the Garden of Life.  It is now time to leave.  Touch the grass as you pull yourself up.  You will remember this garden  as the most beautiful and peaceful one you have ever been too.  Slowly walk to the white gate but before you reach the gate, I want you to stop and pick one flower to bring back with you.  With your chosen flower open the gate and step through.  Close the gate, the garden is now behind you.  You are now back at the front door.  Open the door and enter the room.  Close the door and then make your way back to your seat.  The flower you have brought with you is the Spirit of the garden and will mean a lot to you.  When you are ready, open your eyes and once again rejoin the group, (or church circle, or wherever you may be.) If by yourself take it to mean your journey is now ended.

Try to talk about the flower and what you feel that flower meant to you.
