THE MANY MEANINGS OF LOVE      

Love has many meanings to each one of us.
From a real kind of loving , to the depths of pure lust.
Love can be how you feel for a child, a mother or friend.
The love you give your partner, you hope you can depend.

To a child we show love in protection, kindness, nursing.
Even when we correct their naughtiness, we still love while cursing.
A teenager we show love in guiding, learning, understanding.
Sometimes they can stretch our love by being too demanding.

To a friend we show love in togetherness, laughter and sharing.
When things go wrong, or illness, we still show we are caring.
To the one we choose to share our life, we give love with all our heart.
A physical and mental love, faith and trust, even when apart.

The love of a parent is indeed a sacrifice to live.
A mother's love is so unique, every emotion there is, she will give.
A father's love is given in strength, obedience, security when he can.
For not always can he be there, he has to be the provider, the man!

Our animal kingdom, we must never forget.
Their love is so loyal, from the wildest to a pet.
A love for many of us, is from Our Dear Father above.
Who looks down on us, with forgiveness, faith and love.

Love can be the medicine to the sick of body or mind.
Love can be the friend to one's enemy, if only they would stop being blind.
Love can be the voice, we need, to show us right from wrong.
