LOSING WEIGHT ONE MORE TIME

I have battled with weight most of my life and I know how hard it is. I tried so many diets and hated dieting. I found dieting boring and taking too long to lose the weight. During my life I have lost large amounts of weight and when life upsets you, like it does, I would put the weight back on. Being obese is so heart breaking and you do become depressed. I became very upset when I found out I had diabetes and thyroid deficiency. So dieting right, became a must but believe me it became a nightmare. I have a very sweet tooth and would eat puddings rather than a dinner. I know so much about dieting you would cry. But I maybe able to help you as I did find the answer. I do hope I can win you a battle. You still have to obey the rules and you will lose weight, but steadily and you will have ups and downs but you can enjoy the results. I myself lost 5 stone in less than a year. At first I lost almost a stone in the first month, which you will do but then you start losing weight far more sensibly. Some months will lose more than others but do keep to my diet and lose weight the right way and to keep being positive. You can always write to me for advise. I do hope you find losing weight my way the best way.

LOSING WEIGHT SUCCESSFULLY.

INTRODUCTION.

So many of us are overweight and simply hopeless at dieting. There is no easy way to lose weight and no miracle cure that can make those pounds disappear. I myself have lost five stone and would like to share my experience with you.

After trying to diet on my own, I did join Weight Watchers and was not happy there at all. The bigger clubs are much too formal and because there are so many people at one meeting, I found it hard to get to know everyone and receive enough support.

Then I was introduce to a small club in a church near me by a neighbour. A small club is informal, fun and much more supportive, as you get to know everyone within the group. I do recommend this and you could even do a group in someone's home.

The lady who took this club knew all about weight problems, the temptations of food and how hard it is to lose weight as she herself was obese. Her way of losing weight as help so many to lose weight properly. You could even with this diet you could easily with friends do this at home. Never diet alone. It is much nicer to be in a small group, supporting each other and helping each other. Each week we met on a Thursday and first we had our weighing in. The one who lost the most weight that week won a dozen eggs. If two won you shared the eggs. Every month there would be a prize. eg. fruit, perfume etc. for the one who lost the most weight in the month. In class we would talk and help each other. If someone wants to exercise after class we would do light exercise. It was great losing weight this way. So I do hope you enjoy the programme.

The diet is devised to lose weight easily and comfortably without counting calories or weighing food.

THE FOLLOWING FOUR ITEMS CAN BE EATEN EVERY DAY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM YOU CAN NOT SUBSTITUTE THEM WITH ANYTHING ELSE.

  • HALF PINT OF SKIMMED OR SEMI-SKIMMED MILK.
  • 1 LOW FAT YOGHURT. (any flavour)
  • HALF AN OUNCE OF LOW FAT SPREAD OR COOKING OIL.
  • TWO SMALL SLICES OF WHOLEMEAL BREAD.

YOU MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS PER DAY.

TWO SLICES OF HI-BRAN OR WHOLEMEAL BREAD.

or

TWO WEETABIX.

or

TWO OUNCES BRANBUDS.

or

TWO OUNCES QUAKER OATS.

or

TWO OUNCES ENERGEN WHEETFLAKES.

or

TWO APPLES WITH ONE BANANA OR ONE ORANGE.

or

FOUR OUNCE JACKET POTATO.

or

SMALL CAN NEW POTATOES.

or

SIX SLICES SLYMBREAD.

or

FOUR RYVITAS.

EVERY DAY ESSENTIALS.

This is the foundation to your diet. You may eat as much of the following as you like - always remember to trim off all the fats and skin and do not fry. Always braise and grill.

MEAT.

Frozen, fresh, cooked or tinned. Beef, lamb, pork, ham, bacon, tongue, chicken, cornbeef, rabbit, turkey, luncheon meat. etc.

FISH.

Frozen, fresh, cooked or tinned. Cod, haddock, kippers, pilchards, tuna, sardines, salmon, cockles, mussels, laverbread, fish in parsley sauce. (Boil in the bag.)
(NO FISH TO BE IN OIL.)

EGGS.

At least one per day.

CHEESE.

Low fat cottage cheese. Low fat fromage frais.

VEGETABLES.

Frozen, fresh, cooked or tinned. Cabbage, carrots, brussel-sprouts, leeks, turnip, broccolli, spinach, cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions, beetroot, cress, mushrooms, radish.

YOU MUST NOT HAVE ANY PULSES. (eg. PEAS, SWEETCORN, BROADBEANS etc. MORE THAN TWO /THREE TIMES A WEEK.)

BEVERAGES.

Tea, coffee, bovril, oxo, low calorie drinks.
Artificial sweetners can be used freely.
(For hot liquids I use sweetners in tablet form. For jelly, puddings etc I do use powder form.) (Canderal is excellent.)
Unsweetened friut juice. (one glass per day.)
All spices, stock cubes, worcester, tobasco and soy sauce.

TREATS.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TWO FROM THE FOLLOWING LIST PER DAY.

One packet of crisps. (small, any flavour)
One ounce Cheddar or Cheshire cheese.
One thin link of sausage. (beef)
One eight ounce low calorie coleslaw.
Two fish fingers. (grilled)
One beefburger or hamburger. (grilled)
One four ounce Jacket potato.
One ounce Instant Mash. (uncooked weight)
One cup cake.
One chocolate eclair fresh cream.

One tub trifle (small) fresh cream.
Quarter pint of jelly.
One small milky way.
One cruchie or Blue Riband or Ripple or Breakaway or Kit Kat
(two fingers)
One apple and one pear. (one treat)
Two ounces Cottage Cheese.
Two ounces boiled rice. (uncooked weight)
Two Batchelors slim soup.
One low fat yoghurt. (any flavour)
Small can of baked beans.
Small can of spaghetti.
Small can of new potatoes.
Findus battered cod steak.
Findus battered haddock steak.

One golden vanilla choc ice. (Walls)
One tube of fruit pastilles.
One tube of fruit gums.
One Balistro bar.
One Pyramint.
One slice wholemeal bread.
