OUR JOURNEY

Our journey begins when we are born.
With love all around we are never alone.
We take our first steps, our first words we speak.
We build up our strength and try not to be weak.
From infant, to school the lessons begin.
And baby Jesus we learn all about him.

As children to teenagers we learn how to pray.
We sing in the choir, read from the Bible each day.
Some of us go forward and stay true to God.
While others feel their path forward will not be trod.
Lessons of evil and good, are balanced and learnt.
In hope that as adults we have not been burnt.

Our faith in God grows stronger each day.
Now we have grown and matured along the way.
We learn how to love and we learn how to hate.
Our steps we take forward to our destiny or fate.
Our plans for the future are now complete.
We can either survive or take defeat.

If we trust in the Lord and accept His love.
We will have no fear when we journey above.
Our journey will take us from birth to death.
Fulfilled in between with the meaning of life.
Now in the fullness of our time on earth's plain.
We can end our journey with God in peace once again.
