FOREVER TOGETHER

Living alone and feeling the emptiness there.
Once full of activity and so much loved shared.
Only death parted us and released you from pain.
Your Spirit, your love, visits me over and over again.

Our love grew strong from the day we met.
Many ups and downs. Bad times and good times set.
We overcome all hurdles and never gave in.
It was wonderful and great when we did win.

We both worked hard and many struggles on the way.
We did our best for our children come what may.
We dreamed of our retirement would be the best.
Fun and holidays and a well earned rest.

But sadly, serious illnesses and disabilities came.
No more will life ever be the same.
Both of us living each day best way we could.
Every moment so precious, like we knew it would.

Your journey now ended and I am alone.
I do feel you near me everywhere in our home.
My time will come to join you in Heaven above.
Forever, together, we will have eternal love.
