A DEDICATION TO MY DARLING PETS.

MY THANKS TO THE DEDICATION OF THE WONDERFUL VETS AND NURSES OF THE P. D. S. A. WHO DID EVERY THING TO HELP MY PETS.

Christmas is coming and I must add this piece to you all. A pet is for life. It makes me sad and very annoyed to see so many pets badly treated and abandered. Please this Christmas think first before bringing an animal in your home. Never mind the nagging and tantrums of your child to have a pet. Make it a strong NO unless you really are keeping this pet. Some animals can live untill they are gone twenty. A long time. They need love, attention and to be looked after. You can take out animal insurance to help pay the bills. If you are poor you may be entitled to go to the PDSA. Please please do not get a pet if you are only getting the pet for Christmas.

This little kitten will soon grow to be big like my other two cats.
They will need the same love and care. Think before you take a pet into your home.

A PET IS FOR LIFE.

LEFT IS TIDDLES AND NEXT IS BUBBLES
THIS IS SPIKE

These are my beautiful pets. Three wonderful, loving and most precious pets you could ever wish for. I have been with these three darlings from birth to death. This dedication is the hardest thing I have ever done, as I look at their photos I just brake down and cry. No matter what you say those who love animals would know the feeling how they are such a part of you. They are like children and loved so much. The cats are brothers and were very close all their lives. When my little dog came into the home they were a little distant at first. Then Tiddles became very close to Spike but Bubbles was too much an independant cat and just tolerated Spike being around. There are so many memories and so many photos it was hard to pick out the best. I will introduce you to each pet for you to get to know them.

INTRODUCING TIDDLES THE TABBY CAT.

BORN :-- 28th of February 1985
DIED :-- 20th of December 2003
AGED :-- 18 years and 10 months.

Tiddles was the rut of the litter and needed a lot of love. But after a while he was OK. Very loving cat and so comical. He was only as big as my hand but grew up to be quite a big cat. He learnt from beginning to meow to go out and if the door was closed he would meow to come back in. Both cats when kittens gave us so much pleasure making my youngest daughter at the time to laugh. Tiddles loved to shake hands with you and his favourite place was the window. He would sit and watch people go past. When he slept though, he had to curl up with Bubbles. He did love to climb trees and bring me back a bird or bring a mouse. I would hate this and then have to remove these poor creatures.

We never had a dull moment with Tiddles. He loved to be around people and was so friendly. But he did get into one habit if you did not do what he wanted, he would climb up on you and head butt you. You just had to laugh. November this year he became ill. The only other big thing in his life was he did lose an eye as he got older. But this illness was cancer and on the 20th of December we had no choice but have him put to sleep. He was very ill and I could not see him suffer any more. We were able to hold him while the vet injected him. So we were with him to the end. He is now burried next to his brother in my garden. God Bless my precious darling pet. At peace now and no more pain.

INTRODUCING BUBBLES. THE BLACK AND WHITE CAT.

BORN :-- 28th February 1985.
DIED:-- 24th August 1999
AGED :-- 14 years and 6 months.

Bubbles was a very independant cat even from the age of 6 weeks. He would curl up into a ball in front of the fire. Not one for too much fussing like Tiddles but if he wanted a cuddle he would come over and jump into your lap. As he grew up he was not one for visitors to the house. When anyone came he would either go outside or stay in the kitchen under the table. Once they went in he would come. He had a favourite thing he liked to do and that was to either sit behind my youngest daughter, upon the top of the sofa and either pull her hair or try to eat her hair. He too would climb trees and bring me a bird or a mouse. We tried so hard to stop them going up the trees but after taking our trees down they just went to neighbours. Tiddles and Bubbles did love to sleep together. Two very devoted cats and brothers. Bubbles also would fall a sleep in unusal places.

Bubbles too would meow to go out and meow to come in. But Bubbles was not so active as Tiddles. Bubbles slept quite a lot. He was a bigger cat and suddenly we notice him losing weight. He was not as quick as Tiddles so at first we thought he was not eating enough. Then he began to be sick and we then got the bad news from the vet. That dreaded word cancer. They operated on Bubbles and then phoned me to say there was nothing they could do. It would be kinder not to bring him round as the cancer was everywhere. It was hard but I said yes to putting him to sleep. Two hours later we were allowed to bring him home. Where he is burried in our garden. For three months we watched Tiddles looking for him and grieving and Tiddles took comfort with our little dog.

INTRODUCING MY LITTLE DOG SPIKE.

BORN:-- 2nd of October 1987.
DIED:-- 9th of March. 2006
AGE:-- 18 years and 5 months.

Today we lost our dearest pet. Spike became blind and had become senile. We did everything to care for her and even with so much love her time was up. She was very old and I put this photo to remind me how she was. As she did look very old and ill in recent photos. It is the hardest thing to part with a very loving pet. She is burried in our garden next to where our beautiful cats are burried. So now she is with the cats in Heaven and I hope the dear Lord will love her like we did. I expect she is now romping around in God's Heaven. Spike, Bubbles and Tiddles. God Bless All Three.

Update on Spike. She is now 18 years old and is now senile. But we love her and look after her so well she is not in any difficulty. She still misses the tabby cat Tiddles and will look for him. It is November 2005.

Like the cats I was there when she was born. But Spike did not come to live with us untill she was 10 weeks old. One year and eight months after the cats. We were very blessed as Spike was promised to someone else but I think God chose her to be ours. When she came into our home she was so small and the cats so big. But at first the cats were not to keen because she was full of life and wanted them to play with her. They soon all settled down. At the time my brain damaged mother from a severe stroke came to live with us. The dog was good for her and Spike became quite intelligent. She realised my mother would not answer the door and learnt to fetch us. Any thing wrong with mam, Spike would call us. Spike became like a little human being. She is a tiny dog but did have a very loud bark. People would expect to see a big dog but got a shock to see how small she is. The cats slept downstairs but Spike slept on my bed with her own bedding. (Yes sheets, blankets, quilt and pillow. Very spoilt. The cats had quilts and blankets.) Mam died but she still amazed us with how she understood. The most wonderful dog you could ever wish for. She gave you so much love and we gave all three all the love you could give. They all slept on our sofas with us. Kept warm and well fed. Tiddles would get close but Bubbles would only be close to his brother Tiddles. Although he was never nasty to Spike, he would tolerate her. Spike loved having her photo taken and would pose without any problem. There is so much to say about her but I would bore you as each of us who love a pet have our own precious memories.

She is 18 now and is not too well. We give her lots of T L C and the vet said every day is a bonus for us. At present there are two play mates but as she is almost blind, although she wants to play. Her arthritis won't let. She sleeps a lot and I do hope she dies naturally. We love her so much.

HERE SHE IS RESTING

We nearly lost Spike just before Tiddles. She had a lot of teeth out and bled so much she did die under the operation but God was kind and the vet revived her. She is fine again now. Tender love and care soon brought her on the mend. She is deaf now so don't bark at the door. She has arthritis but is marvolous.
The time came to lose Tiddles and she had been mothering him as he was ill. She had to sleep with him and He was curled round to her for comfort. When we brought him home we let her see but I don't think she understood. After we burried him and said prayers. All seem ok. But the realisation came and she has been searching for him every day. (She use to love to pinch his food but stands still as the food is no longer there.) We just stocked up so all his food went to the P.D.S.A. It is now really heart braking as she is grieving and searching for him and we are cuddling and loving her more but it so sad to watch her. She do not have any other animal to turn to. I will never own another pet. One my age and they might outlive me. And I could not go through this hurting ever again. These are my three most precious pets and no other can take their place. I just hope she can get over the grief. She is due to have her check up and I am hoping they can help me. Animals are like children and need the love and respect they deserve.
I LOVE THE THREE OF THEM SO MUCH.
GOD BLESS THEM. WITH LOVE.

You can see Tiddles cuddling into Spike.

GOD GAVE ME THREE LITTLE PRECIOUS ANIMALS TO LOOK AFTER AND TO LOVE. I DO HOPE I DID MY PART WELL. EACH TIME I LOOK AT THEIR PHOTOS I JUST BRAKE DOWN AND CRY. I AND MY FAMILY LOVED EACH ONE SO MUCH. I DREAD THE DAY SPIKE FINALLY TOO WILL PASS INTO HEAVEN. I KNOW I WILL MEET THEM AGAIN IN HEAVEN.

The poem I wrote and is dedicated to all three with love.

MY DARLING PETS.

Pets are like children in every way.
When you bring them home and invite them to stay.
A dog or a cat, a rabbit or a mouse.
Their character is made once living in your house.

They can be naughty or lots of fun.
Just like children, precious every one.
The innocent look they can give to you.
Will bring a smile; melt your heart away too.

They need your love, and are loyal in return.
You just need patience for them to learn.
You talk to them with your loving care.
And oh! So often, find them asleep in your chair.

I have two cats and a dog in my home.
With them in the room I am never alone.
My cats can sleep most of the day, away.
My little dog barks, when she wants me to play.

The cats look to me for a cuddle and food.
When contented, they purr! Makes me feel good.
My little dog follows me, wagging her tail.
She's there to protect me and she never fails.

I love my pets dearly, they give pleasure to me.
My commitment is solid, devotion to three.
I'll feed them, love them, and always be there.
To show my little darlings, how much I do care.
